Celebrating Our Ten Year Anniversary!

Businesses are started when the founder has an idea. In 2011, my idea was to open an ecommerce company, a store where I wouldn’t have to hear a customer say “no”, only “yes” when they made a purchase.

But what would we sell?

An entrepreneur friend once told me, when considering starting a new business, you should stick with what you know. I thought about what I knew best, and it came to me right away - fine jewelry! For 20 years, I owned three jewelry stores in California and Arizona before moving back home to Pennsylvania to be closer to my family.

The world of jewelry is so vast, and I wanted to make sure that I was providing something that customers all over the globe would be interested in. What type of jewelry do many people have? Earrings! And what is one of the most popular styles of earrings? Hoops! They never go out of style.

The idea came to me all of a sudden - what if I open an online business that exclusively features hoop earrings? Thus LooptyHoops was born. In the beginning, I asked a former student of mine to be my partner and help me get the website off the ground. My assistant began to add products to the website and write our first newsletters, helping with all of the details of starting a business.

We launched in June 2011, TEN YEARS AGO!

The past ten years have brought so many unexpected changes, some blessings and some obstacles. Two years after we launched our website, we expanded our online selling platforms, putting LooptyHoops in front of millions of customers. We were also featured in an issue of Coastal Living Magazine! I still remember getting the call asking if our earrings could be featured in their magazine; it's a memory I hold close to my heart. I have traveled to trade shows in the United States, Italy, and Hong Kong, to name a few, all in service of finding the best jewelry for our customers. The economic and emotional uncertainty of 2020 was especially difficult; we were somehow able to pull through and become a stronger company than ever.

While we have expanded and grown over the years, LooptyHoops.com is the heart of our business. On our website, we are able to communicate with you directly and help answer any questions, or even help you find the perfect pair of hoops! We offer special discounts on our site as well as testing out new products to see what you might be interested in. Thanks to your input, we have added other jewelry as well, like pendants and charms, rings, bracelets, and necklaces. We have some customers that have been purchasing from us multiple times over many years, and we love getting to know you and your taste in fine jewelry.

We could not have made it to our Ten Year mark, continuing to grow every year, if it weren’t for the hard work and dedication of our staff. I am extremely thankful for them. And for our customers, I am eternally grateful that you found us, trusted us, and allowed us to work hard to continue to earn your precious trust. We really appreciate that we have the gift of celebrating ten years of service to you. Thank you.
